My Review of the FT60 Heart Rate Monitor

Polar heart rate monitors are so popular among people who love to exercise. I loved my first polar watch, so I decided to check out the rest of the Polar line of monitors. No matter if you are a “weekend warrior,” you like to exercise when you can, or you exercise every morning you open your eyes, the FT60 Polar Heart Rate Monitor is definitely one to take a good hard look at. The one to the left is purple, the other color choice for women is black and the ***men’s choices and colors are at the bottom of the page. What Features To Look For When Buying A Heart Rate Monitor

Personalized Polar Star training that adapts to your workouts. It gives weekly training targets to motivate you to stretch yourself further and further to help you to “grow’ your fitness level.

It provides constant feedback without being too much of a strict drill sergeant which will push you to reach your fitness goals faster.

How Does It Work To Motivate You?

It gives you a percentage of your maximum heart rate as beats per minute within a target zone. And if you overdo it and push yourself too hard, there is an alarm that will beep to get you back where you should be within your heart rate zone. So, you want to be in the zone and this will define what that zone is, just for you personally.

Bonuses include the ZonePointer, PolarOwnZone and Polar OwnCal modes.

What are these?

Let me explain:

The Zonepoints is an audible and visual aid to show you where your current heartrate is within your target zone.

The Polar Own zone mode, gives you a target zone for each individual workout.

The Polar OwnCal mode will show how much energy you used during this one workout session plus your accumulated kilocarlories using total for several workouts in a row. You can also set daily and weekly carlorie-spend goals to help you see where you are today and where you want to be next week in terms of how many carlories you wish to burn. I think this is a great feature.

Any Complaints?

I searched the reviews for negative comments and the concerns were minor. People who encountered any set-up problems said that Customer Service was superb. One user commented that this version doesn’t come with a stop-watch, but that was not the reason she purchased it, so it didn’t deter her.
