My Review of the Polar F11 Heart Rate Monitor

I decided it was time to check out the other Polar heart monitors.  I have one, but the other models offer different features and I wanted to see what theF11 polar Heart Rate Monitor was all about.  I used to teach a class of college students a few years ago and the college purchased 36 Polar Heart Rate Monitors and straps.  The college kids loved being able to track what they were doing and how their hearts were responding to their new training on the track at the local high school.  It was a unique teaching tool to see how someone who had no fitness stamina, could build up to running a mile in the space of just a couple of months.  Because you can track your progress, it makes exercising a lot more fun and interesting than just “winging-it.”

Any Complaints?

Some say it is too advanced for them, while others say that you just have to patiently sit and read the manual and once you get used to the watch, you’ll love it.  This watch is one of the more expensive Polar watches, and some buyers say it is worth it because they would be paying a personal trainer a lot more money that the monitor costs them. The other concern is that the battery needs to be replaced by the manufacturer to keep the warranty.  This is an inconvenience so some users suggest you can take it to your local jeweler and have them change out the battery for $10 or $15  instead. It’s your call.
